Our six free coaching sessions are open to women who are working to create change in Greater Manchester and who do not have financial or organisational support to access coaching.

We offer free coaching to women who wouldn’t normally be able to access this development support, to help them increase the impact of their work.

Put simply, coaching helps you get from where you are now to where you want to be faster than you could on your own. If you are used to putting others first, a coach will create the space and time for you to grow. Our clients are women already leading on inspiring work in Greater Manchester – projects both big and small. We just want to give them an extra boost. By joining Queen Bee Coaching as a client, you become part of an empowering network of women leaders in the city and will work with your coach to grow your confidence and impact.

You can also join us as a volunteer coach or in one of the voluntary roles in our support team.

In everything we do, we seek to ensure the service reflects the diversity, demographics and dynamism of Greater Manchester. Applications are welcomed from all of the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester and we particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian, LGBTQ+, working class and disabled women.

What if I don’t feel like a leader?

At Queen Bee Coaching, we recognise that leaders come in many forms – and that sometimes women’s leadership styles do not conform with stereotypical expectations. For us, a leader is anyone working to turn ideas into action and create change in society.

A leader might be that person everyone turns to because they just get things done. Or they could be the person with the best and most empathetic listening ear in an organisation. Leaders can be radical, defying norms and expectations to act in the way they believe is right. They might be collaborative – ensuring everyone’s perspective is heard and creating ways for people to work together towards a common goal.

What we’re saying is for us, there is not one, set definition of a leader.

Please don’t feel that you have to have led a big team or have been in charge of ‘important’ projects to fulfil our definition. If you are working on something you believe in to create change in Greater Manchester – you are a leader to us.

If you have any doubts about this, please get in touch on info@queenbeecoaching.org

Frequently asked questions

Queen Bee Coaching offers free coaching to support all women, particularly those from diverse backgrounds and experiences, to overcome barriers, increase their impact on society and rise to positions of influence, in order to accelerate Greater Manchester toward equity.

You can apply to receive coaching or to become one of our volunteer coaches. The application forms can be found on the Join Us page, which you can get to by clicking the button at the top-right of the screen. If you’re not sure our offer is for you, we’d urge you to get in touch with us using the Contact Us page so we can help you decide. After a successful application, you’d be matched with a coach, who would contact you to arrange an initial conversation before you begin your six sessions together.
You can also apply to volunteer with our support team, who keep the whole operation running.

We offer our coaching for free thanks to our volunteer support team and our amazing volunteer coaches. Coaching is often associated with corporate executives and can be expensive, but we know it can be a powerful development tool for anyone. That’s why QBC was founded to offer free coaching to those who might not usually be able to access it.
